National Tooth Fairy Day



: For hundreds of years, mystical legends, stories, and traditions have been shared about the loss of baby teeth. In some cultures, children's teeth were buried in order to hide them from witches and evil spirits who would use the tooth's powers for voodoo. The Vikings believed that children's teeth had a magical power in them that would help them fight in battle. They would even pay their children for their lost baby teeth so that they could be used to string onto battle necklaces and other jewelry.
Over time, people began to share stories about a Tooth Mouse who would scamper around town and steal children's teeth in the middle of the night. This story of the mouse soon transformed into the story of the Tooth Fairy, who would leave treasures under the children's pillows in exchange for their lost teeth.
The traditions and legend of the Tooth Fairy are still practiced today all around the world. It is considered a useful practice by many parents because it gives their children something to look forward to when they lose their teeth. And so year after year, baby teeth are placed under children's pillows at night in hopes of waking up to a wonderful surprise from none other than the Tooth Fairy!

Here we are finding treasures to build our first Fairy House. We went to a forest closed to our home and walk there for about 20 minutes. We found all we need to make it happen. Now is time to start.....I will keep you informed!

Into the Woods

Today was the day....I went to the forest this afternoon with my little boy. The sun was softly shinning and the breeze was excellent, just a little clouds, to say something. We walked into the woods as soon as we get there. It was going to be his first experience there and I want him to have fun. As we walked we tried to find things that will look like real treasures. We found lots of them to build our first Fairy Fairy House. Between our tiny treasures I can mention lots of leaves in different colors and shapes, small and medium woods, branches, moss, little stones and more. It was very interesting and we really have a good time. He say he is the engineer of the fairy house, he strongly believe it and I am so proud of him.

Tomorrow I will post a video of us in the search of new ideas and treasures.

Today I will be looking for treasures with my little boy. I am so excited to start making my own fairy house. We are now preparing ourselves with appropriate clothing, fresh water, some snacks an eco bag to keep all of our treasures safe.

No garden is complete without a Fairy Door!

Fairy Doors are magical items and when placed into your home or garden you can be sure that fairy folk from all around will follow.

By "inviting" the little magical creatures in they bring good luck. Fairy Doors let the "little people" into your house & garden. You can place them anywhere, on a wall , or baseboard, against a stone, a stump, a tree, literally anywhere you want them.

Of course only "they" can open them.

Some People that have them stated that they really attract fairies. Some of them have hear beautiful songs during the night while other are sure that they have seen miniature lights flying all over the garden or room.

If you want to have this experience, why not try it, right? You might be asking where I can buy one of these little doors? There are lots of places where you can buy them or simply you can make them, however you can have much fun making them!

Fairy Tulips Story....Enchanted and Magical

Once upon a time there was a good old woman who lived in a little house. She had in her garden a bed of beautiful striped tulips.

One night she was wakened by the sounds of sweet singing and of babies laughing. She looked out at the window. The sounds seemed to come from the tulip bed, but she could see nothing.

The next morning she walked among her flowers, but there were no signs of any one having been there the night before.

On the following night she was again wakened by sweet singing and babies laughing. She rose and stole softly through her garden. The moon was shining brightly on the tulip bed, and the flowers were swaying to and fro. The old woman looked closely and she saw, standing by each tulip, a little Fairy mother who was crooning and rocking the flower like a cradle, while in each tulip-cup lay a little Fairy baby laughing and playing.

The good old woman stole quietly back to her house, and from that time on she never picked a tulip, nor did she allow her neighbors to touch the flowers.

The tulips grew daily brighter in color and larger in size, and they gave out a delicious perfume like that of roses. They began, too, to bloom all the year round. And every night the little Fairy mothers caressed their babies and rocked them to sleep in the flower-cups.

The day came when the good old woman died, and the tulip-bed was torn up by folks who did not know about the Fairies, and parsley was planted there instead of the flowers. But the parsley withered, and so did all the other plants in the garden, and from that time nothing would grow there.

But the good old woman's grave grew beautiful, for the Fairies sang above it, and kept it green; while on the grave and all around it there sprang up tulips, daffodils, and violets, and other lovely flowers of spring.

A new year is approaching and I just think about new items, new wings and new adventures! My goals HUGE and for that reason my imagination and creativity makes me dream with lovely items for this coming year!

2011 was excellent and full of emotions, fulfilled goals, brilliant ideas but overall full of new customers who become friends and still dreaming with me about beauty things.

I hope and I know inside of me that 2012 will be great and excellent almost a copy of this year but with more challenges to reach translated in new wings ideas, new accessories and enchanted and magical creations.

Fairy Ring Dance

Humankind has long been fascinated by a phenomena called the Fairy Ring. Following is one interpretation of their creation and the magic that is held there.

In the light of the moon with a soft breeze blowing through the trees and flowers, if you are very quiet and cautious, you may witness the fairies laughing and dancing in a small clearing. You may have seen the circles they leave in the grass from their joyful dancing. Do not go in search of the fairy dance alone for their magic is powerful.

The enchantment of fairy music and laughter is well know to draw passersby toward the Fairy Ring, and should you join in the merriment of the dancing by stepping into their ring you may be led forever into the world of Faerie. The Fairy Dance may seem to last only a short while - a few minutes, an hour or two, or a whole night - but in reality the normal length of the dance could be seven years by our time and perhaps longer.

Attempting to rescue a friend from the Fairy Ring is difficult. A captive can be rescued by following the faerie music while others hold firmly to the rescuer’s clothing, reaching into the ring (keep one foot firmly outside the circle) and pull the captive dancer out.

The enchantment of the fairy music and dance is overpoweringly beautiful as are the fairies themselves. It is perhaps best to enjoy the presence of fairies without joining them.

Designing your Fairy Garden

A fairy garden is more than just fairy-friendly wildflowers and an offering of milk or honey. The garden needs to be eco-friendly, organic, and preferably at least part-wild, with lots of hiding places for the fairies to play in.

You also need to get used to allowing and even encouraging insects and other "pests" into your garden, as this will put you in good stead with the fey. So think damp, dark places and rotting logs! The more birds, butterflies and bees you have, the better!

But don't forget, this also includes everything from spiders and ants to pigeons and magpies, so if there are certain creepy crawlies that you really can't stand, or need to keep away from your vegetables, then make sure you deal with them organically and humanely. The fairies will thank you for trying!

They fill the household with laughter, joy and magic - and if you work hard to make a beautiful garden for them, they bring good fortune too! Not just in the money sense - fairies who bond with humans will bring protection, romance and luck to name but a few things.

How me make our wings…

Hand Crafted items are very unique pieces of art. Each design is an original from the artist and no two are ever alike. ... Handcrafted items allow you to add a special touch to, your wedding day, birthday, Theatrical or ballet presentation, Studio Photograph, Renaissance Fair among others and are often the accent of choice when the time comes to give a unique gift.

Regardless of what materials are used or what form they take, handcrafted items are valued for their unique character. In our case we enjoy creating and designing fairy wings. They are magical, and drive us through an enchanted fantasy world every time we start to make them from start to finish.

Creating is the biggest part of our items. Imagination, dedication and sensibility are the necessary ingredients needed to design stunning and exquisite wings. There are a large variety of wings, as much as every person. We believe that as everyone has a unique personality, each wing has it too. That is what makes us different from other designers and handcrafters. We love to know a little bit of our customers preferences before start creating them so we can get inspired to make them look real.

We prepare a real fantastic area to work with our fairy wings, music, lights and soft aromas create an ambiance that transports us to a relaxing and calm mood. Every designer works with privacy so each wing maker can put special interest in their own creation. We read our customer’s entire request and make them one by one, having in mind, shape, color, embellishment, event and more! At the end a fairy pixie flies around our atelier spreading fairy dust all over the items giving them a magical touch.

At the end a fantastical, glamorous, sparkling and precious wing has been born! Now they are ready to be shipped. We packed them with extremely tender care. They need to be love before arrive to their owner. We also supply some instructions on how to take care of them so they will live as long as the owner. Once the customer opens their wings, they are magically ready to fly!

How to Attract Fairies to your Garden

I few months ago, I was reading about a man that stated very seriously that he have seen fairies in his garden. I was so impressed that this man can see them! As I continued reading I got more impressed about his findings. Here are some facts that I found interesting...

Caring for wildlife is extremely important – the faeries are guardians of nature, and should flock to a garden tended by a human who tends plants, animals, birds and insects with equal care. They will also prefer a garden where humans treat their privacy with respect, and if the human proves to be one who does all these things unconditionally, they will be more inclined to make themselves known. Kindness, romance and playfulness are also ways to attract faeries.

You can also attract the attention of the small folk by leaving offerings in the garden, such as food, crafts, crystals or trinkets.

As life happens, we grow up. Our spirit grows old. It's the natural way of things. Our bodies give into the pressure of time, and eventually, we stop believing.

The other day I was listening to a good friend of mine. She loves fairies, unicorns, and castles. She also believes she has real wings. The idea first struck me as silly. "Ok, I get it, you love fairies", was my initial state of mind in front of such incredible assumption. But as I kept listening, it kind of made sense.

She kept telling me her story. She's a lovable woman, full of laughter , with sparkling eyes and a fantastic sense of style. Kids simply adore her. They approach her at the mall, giggle with her, and naturally connect with her. She told me how one evening, while reading a tale to a 5 year old, she found out she had wings. The little girl kept looking at her back. She noticed the girl wasn't paying attention to anything she was reading out loud, so she stopped and warned her that she would stop reading unless she focused. The girl simply replied, "Your wings are blue". She could she the amazement in the girl's eyes, wide open, expecting for something magical to happen right there. She just followed the girl's imagination, and instead of reading someone else's story, they began crafting their own magical space. Since then, she firmly believes she has long, translucent, blue fairy wings.

I have been worrying too much lately. Trying to start up a business is hard work, and sometimes doubt fills my heart. But after listening to my friend's story, I have come to the conclusion that I must find my wings.

Believe in magical things. Believe things can happen. Believing is the fuel that drives the soul into grander things. Don't forget your wings on your way out. You will need them to escape into the wonderful world of dreams. And we all need to dream...

Nothing gives us more satisfaction than knowing our kids enjoy their wings! Children have a natural gift for magical things. They admire beauty as they see it and don't shy away for imagination. This is the case with Elyse.

As we are updating our inventory and rethinking our photo stock, we headed out for our first photo session. Elyse was delighted with her wings! Seeing her so happy reassured us that our products give that special touch on any kid's playground.
